Wow! We went to Seabrook Island, SC this past weekend with our family. Our two adult children and their spouses and our two grandchildren all converged at our son's home at Seabrook Island. Before we all settled in on Friday night, our host announced that we needed to be up early on Saturday -- dressed and ready to go by 7:30 a.m. -- for a "surprise"!
And at 8:45 Saturday morning, we were welcomed aboard by Captain Chad! We were to have our very own Dolphin Encounter -- just our little family on a special tour with Captain Chad.
http://www.kiawahchartercompany.com/index.html The Captain is an excellent photographer -- look at all the photographs on his site! Warning -- the photos are copyrighted. Do not copy. But oh, enjoy! I will be posting some pics here and on the upcoming Squidoo lens that you will be able to copy.
Captain Chad is so very knowledgeable about the 16 member dolphin pod. He researches this pod to discover more about dolphin behavior. He even has special names for each one of them -- based usually on the markings on their dorsal fins.
We spent two hours on the boat with Captain Chad -- listening to his stories, watching the dolphins and of course, asking tons of questions. I did post a couple of pictures already this morning and will have more later and of course, a Squidoo lens about our experience!
